Regency period in England (1811-1820) was a time on classic grace and elegance. Continental composers such as Mozart, Haydn, and J.C. Bach Followed the tradition, begun by Handel, of catering to the sophisticated Londoner's nearly insatiable craving for chamber music. The Popular combination of flute, violin, and cello proved to be ideal for their tasteful and charming music.
